Rugged, weather-ready welding for pastures, job sites and open ground, where equipment breaks far from any shop.
Equipment does not break conveniently. A plow shears a bolt in the far field, a hay spike bends at the back of the barn lot, a trailer axle mount cracks on a gravel road. Field welding is the discipline of making a lasting repair in dirt, wind and weather with the tools on a truck.
We plan around the conditions: wind screens to protect the arc, extra cable to reach the part, jacks and blocking to hold heavy pieces steady and the right filler for worn, dirty steel. The aim is a repair that lets you get back to work and stays that way.
Wind blows shielding gas away and ruins a weld. We use shields or switch to a process that handles breeze, so field welds stay sound.
Jacks, stands and cribbing hold equipment steady and safe while we work, so the repair is made in the right position without strain.
Field steel is often old, greasy or fatigued. We clean back to sound metal and choose filler that tolerates less-than-perfect surfaces.
Rain, wind and cold change how and when we weld. Cold steel needs warming, wet metal must be dried and wind needs shielding. We look at the forecast with you and reschedule rather than weld in poor conditions.

We see the work, ask about the metal and access and give you a clear written price.
We agree a day and an arrival window, and call when we are on the way.
Work zone cleared, fire watch in place, then careful welding in the right process for the metal.

Light wind is manageable with shields. Heavy rain or strong wind is unsafe and poor for weld quality, and we reschedule if conditions would compromise the repair.
Often. Tell us about the ground and gate access. Soft or steep terrain may call for a different plan, and we will discuss it first.
Yes. Older steel can be weld-repaired as long as it has enough sound metal. We assess it before starting and advise honestly.
Many are done in a few hours. Bigger fabrication or multi-part repairs take longer, and we give you an honest time estimate.
Yes. Safety and weld quality come first, so we move the visit when conditions would compromise either.
