Steel Shelving and Racks

Garage, shop and storage shelving, pipe racks, material racks and cantilever storage welded to carry your heaviest loads.

Garage and shop storage tends to fail on the heaviest stuff: lumber, tires, tools, engines and bins of hardware. Store-bought shelving flexes, sags and tips. Welded steel racks do not. They hold weight reliably, fit odd spaces and can be built to match what you store.

We build shelving units, cantilever racks for pipe and lumber, tire racks, wall-mounted shelves, mezzanine supports and storage cages. Each is sized for your space and your loads, and anchored to walls or floors where tipping is a risk.

Sized to your stuff

Shelf depth and spacing depend on what you store. We plan around your items so the rack is efficient and not just large.

Load and tipping

Heavy storage needs strong frames and, for tall units, anchoring to walls or floor. We build in the connection points and advise on safe loading.

Fits odd spaces

Corners, low ceilings and angled walls are no problem. Custom racks use the space that standard shelving wastes.

Loading safely

Heavy items go low, light items go high and tall racks should be anchored. Spread weight evenly and avoid exceeding what the rack was designed to carry.

Questions

Shelving and Racks FAQ

How much weight can a welded rack hold?

It depends on the design. We size steel for the loads you describe and advise on safe loading.

Can you build racks for pipe or lumber?

Yes. Cantilever racks are common for long stock and are simple to build for your lengths.

Can racks be mounted to walls?

Yes, where the wall can carry the load. We plan anchors for masonry or framing.

Can you make shelves that fit around obstacles?

Yes. Custom fabrication handles pipes, panels and odd shapes in your space.

Where should I put the heaviest items?

On the lowest shelves, spread out evenly. Anchor tall racks to the wall or floor for safety.
