Couplers, tongues, receivers, safety chain mounts and frame connections welded and reinforced to tow with confidence.
The hitch is the point where all the pulling force passes between the truck and the trailer. A cracked coupler mount, a bent tongue or a weak receiver is a serious problem, and these parts deserve careful, correct welding rather than a quick patch.
We inspect the tongue, coupler, jack mount, safety chain loops and the frame connection for cracks and wear. Failed welds are ground out and redone, bent members are straightened or replaced, and gusset plates add strength where the tongue meets the frame.
Towing loads are highest at the coupler and where the tongue joins the frame. Cracks often start at the toe of an old weld, and we repair those with care.
A coupler with a worn latch or a tongue with deep rust pitting is better replaced than welded. We advise honestly about which parts are worth saving.
Gusset plates and doubler plates spread the load. We size and place them to match the trailer rating and the work it does.
Every trailer and tow vehicle has ratings for weight and tongue load. Welded repairs restore strength, but they do not raise those ratings. We advise on staying within what your equipment is made to carry.

Yes, when done correctly on sound metal with matching filler and good preparation. We do not weld parts with deep corrosion or unknown heat treatment.
Yes. We cut off the old coupler and weld on a correctly rated replacement, then reinforce the tongue as needed.
Repeated heavy loading, overweight towing and poor original welds are common causes. Reinforcement helps prevent a repeat.
We can fabricate and weld receivers and mounts, but the tow rating of your vehicle and trailer still governs what is safe.
No. Ratings come from the whole system, and repairs restore strength rather than raise capacity.
