Kitchen equipment, handrails, tanks, trim and custom stainless fabrication welded to stay clean, strong and corrosion resistant.
Stainless steel owes its corrosion resistance to a thin chromium oxide layer, and welding can damage it if heat and technique are wrong. Done carefully, a stainless weld is smooth, strong and stays clean. Done carelessly, it discolors, warps or rusts.
We weld stainless with the right filler and shielding, control heat to prevent discoloration and distortion and clean and finish the weld so the corrosion resistance returns. Commercial kitchen equipment, sinks, counters, railings, trim and tanks are typical jobs.
Too much heat discolors stainless and weakens its corrosion resistance. We keep heat input low and shield the back of the weld where needed.
Welds are ground, polished or passivated so the surface regains its protective layer and matches the surrounding finish.
Contact with carbon steel tools can contaminate stainless and cause rust spots. We use dedicated brushes and abrasives to avoid it.
Regular washing, no steel wool and prompt removal of chlorides such as salt keep stainless looking and working properly. Rust spots on stainless usually come from contamination, not the metal itself.

Tell us what is broken or what you want built and send photos if you can. We plan the visit so the truck arrives ready.
We see the work, ask about the metal and access and give you a clear written price.
We agree a day and an arrival window, and call when we are on the way.
Work zone cleared, fire watch in place, then careful welding in the right process for the metal.
Welds ground, primed and painted, and the area left clean.

If done properly and finished correctly, stainless welds resist corrosion well. Poor heat control or contamination can cause rust, and we take care to avoid both.
Usually. We finish welds with abrasives that blend into the existing grain.
Yes, with the correct filler and technique. The joint behaves differently over time, and we advise on coatings and use.
We make smooth, cleanable welds. Food-contact equipment may have additional rules, and we build to the details you provide.
Usually iron particles from other tools or chlorides from salt. A proper cleaning and passivation usually restores the surface.
