Stair Railing Fabrication

Custom interior and exterior stair railings in steel, designed to fit the angle of your stairs and the style of your home.

Stair railings must follow a sloped line, turn at landings and stay comfortable to grip along the whole run. That makes them harder to build than they look, and a poor fit shows right away. Fabricating to the actual angle of your stairs gives a clean, continuous line.

We measure the stairs on site, then cut and weld rails, posts and balusters to match. Rails return to the wall or post at the ends, and handhold shapes are chosen for comfort. The finished railing is secure, smooth and ready for paint or powder coat.

Measured to the stairs

Rise, run and landing geometry are measured directly. That lets us cut angles accurately and keep the rail height consistent along the full flight.

Comfortable handholds

A rail has to be grippable. We choose tube or pipe profiles that sit well in the hand and add returns so clothing does not catch at the ends.

Interior or exterior

Indoor railings can be finished in black, bronze or custom colors. Outdoor railings are coated for moisture and mounted with materials that resist weather.

Finish and feel

The finish on an indoor railing is something you touch every day. Smooth welds, rounded edges and a durable coating make it a pleasure to use and easy to keep clean.

Questions

Stair Railings FAQ

Can you make a railing for curved stairs?

Yes, within reason. Curves require bending and careful layout, and we tell you what is practical for your stairs.

Can I keep my existing posts?

Sometimes. If the posts are sound and the layout works, we can build around them. Otherwise we replace them.

Do you build interior and exterior railings?

Both. Exterior railings get weather-ready coatings and fasteners, and interior railings can have finer finishes.

How long does it take?

Measuring, fabricating and installing usually spans several visits. We give a clear timeline once we see the stairs.

What finishes are available for interior railings?

Black paint, powder coat, brushed or clear-coated steel and custom colors are common options.
