Precise, beautiful welds on thin stainless, aluminum, chromoly and exotic metals, where appearance and control matter most.
TIG welding, or gas tungsten arc welding, uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and a separate filler rod. The welder controls the heat with a foot pedal and feeds filler by hand, which gives exceptional control and clean, stacked-dime welds on thin or delicate metal.
It is slower than MIG, but it is the right choice for thin stainless, aluminum, bicycle and roll-cage tubing, exhaust systems, food equipment and anywhere a weld will be seen or must be leak-tight. We use TIG where its precision pays for itself.
Foot-pedal heat control lets us weld thin material without burning through, and finish edges neatly.
TIG welds have little spatter and a refined look. For visible work, that means less grinding and a better finish.
TIG demands very clean metal. We prepare joints carefully, as contamination shows up immediately in the weld.
TIG shows every flaw. Oil from a fingerprint, a trace of oxide or moisture on the filler can ruin a weld. Careful cleaning and storage of filler are part of the process.

On thin metal, stainless, aluminum and visible work where appearance and control matter. MIG is faster for thicker, less visible work.
Yes, because the welder controls heat and filler by hand. The precision is the trade-off.
Yes. It is well suited to thin-wall tubing and exhaust systems where clean, leak-free welds matter.
Wind is a problem for any gas-shielded process. We shield the work or switch process when it is breezy.
Careful cleaning, controlled heat and hand-fed filler all take time, which is how TIG achieves its clean, precise results.
