Welding of beams, columns, brackets and frames, done to the drawings and details your project calls for.
Structural welds hold up buildings, canopies, mezzanines, equipment platforms and bridges between supports. They are different from decorative or light repair work because the weld itself carries load, and a defect can matter a great deal.
We weld structural steel to the plans and details provided by your engineer, architect or contractor. We do not design or engineer structures ourselves. We fit, tack, weld and inspect visually, following the procedures the project specifies, and we raise any question about a detail before we strike an arc.
We follow the engineer or fabricator details for joint type, weld size and sequence. If something does not fit the drawing in the field, we stop and ask rather than improvise.
Good structural work depends on tight fit-up and a sensible welding sequence to control distortion. Parts are clamped, checked for square and level and then welded in a planned order.
Clean, consistent welds are easier to inspect. We check our own work and work with any third-party inspector your project requires.
Structural work lives within a chain of drawings, specifications and approvals. We keep our part of that chain tidy by working from the current drawings, flagging field changes and avoiding changes without written direction.
