Cracked buckets, worn cutting edges, bent arms and torn attachment plates on skid steers, loaders and backhoes rebuilt on site.
A bucket does not get an easy life. It digs, scrapes, pries and drops, and it shows it with split seams, worn cutting edges, cracked ears and bent sidewalls. Replacing a bucket is expensive and slow, while a good repair can bring it back to work the same day.
We repair buckets, forks, grapples and attachments by cutting out damage, welding in new plate and bolt-on or weld-on edges, and rebuilding worn pin bosses. Where wear is constant, we add hardfacing or wear strips so the bucket lasts longer than the original.
The cutting edge and sidewalls wear fastest. We weld on new edges and add side cutters, restoring the bucket digging profile.
Splits at the back plate and cracks around pin ears are common. We grind them out, weld them with proper preparation and add gussets.
Adding wear strips or hard overlay to the high-wear areas costs little compared with replacing a bucket and extends its life noticeably.
Using the bucket to pry, drop or ram wears it fast. Smooth, level digging, avoiding hard impacts and rotating teeth or edges on schedule extend bucket life and reduce repairs.
